I bought this Airline Six radio, a house brand for Ward's, for $1.
I gave it a shot of tuner cleaner on the volume control, cleaned out the old battery, and replaced the battery connector. One corner of the PC board was broken and I super-glued it back, and replaced the lone chassis screw. The grill has a few spots on it, but I didn't see an easy way to clean it.
It works great, and I even found an AM radio station that was playing music!
Apparently it's a http://www.transistor.org/collection/airline/airline8.html:GEN-1202, made by Sharp, c. 1961.
